R&P: Pop music video of the day?

  • The song is called "Buttons" by Sia (some of you may know her song "Breathe Me").

    Anyway, what do you think of the video? It makes no sense, is pointless, and doesn't relate to the song at all IMO, but it's nice to see a female pop singer who isn't afraid to look unattractive.

    Other favorite from her include "Sunday", "Don't Bring Me Down", "Little Black Sandals", and "The Girl You Lost To Cocaine".

    MQ: Know of any music videos (any genre) where the band members or singer deliberately looks unattractive/funny/etc. ?


  • I've been a Sia fan since I first heard "Breathe Me."

    This song is decent, though I feel the ugly and pointless video does it a disservice. It's... tacky.

    That was one of the weirdest freakin things I've seen in a LONG TIME...
    Hahahaha...It grossed me out a bit...But I agree with you...She's not worried about looking all sexy like most women singers...


  • I love that video, anything different is good in my book. I think the reason why she's not afraid to look unattractive is because she is naturally good looking and therefore nothing to lose. The song isn't my style but better than Britney Spears latest offering which is like recycled toilet paper scraping off ur *** cheeks.

    MA: There was this U2 song where The Edge sang instead of Bono and the video was just The Edge's face and people doing all kinds of stuff to it. I'll try to find it.

    Highlights would be at about the 1:30 mark and the 3:15 mark. Watch it all if you want but I have to warn you this is a terrible song. When it came out we were all like, "what the hell is this U2?"
