Noob here.. needs help...

  • i just received my new xbox with an xecuter 2 mod chip in it, 250 gb hard drive... i have some general questions.. please help via boards or email me..

    in order to back up my own dvds, i use dvd2xbox software. it takes the movies well enought, but i do not know how to properly play them. i attempted to use xbox media center or xbox media player, neither properly play them, no icons either.

    i can not seem to connect my xbox to my network, nor will it connect to the internet. i have a linksys router and have attempted to set up upnp or gaming settings, but no luck.

    please help... anything is appreciated. thank you all.


  • as far as the network, do you have an ip when you log into your bios? that is the first thing i would check. what ip is assign from your linksys?
