In_mp3.dll problem

  • on 10may build and for a while

    1) open my music
    2) play a song
    3) press start to bring up player contols
    4) go over to fast forward
    5) keep pressing fastforward after a few times (about 6-10 normally) it will lock xbox up. (but i can get it to do it by jumping using right thumb or changing speed at times as well)

    ps using winamp 10may build and also without in_mp3.dll it works perfect. (but no fast forward rewind sounds or gapless mp3s of coarse)

    erase your local repository, download it again, build and try to see if the same prolbem arises...

    i attached 3 logs

    its a bug of the xbe together with the in_mp3.dll. tried mplayer and it worked fine.

    itīs not a problem with the in-mp3.dll, but itīs a prob with the xbe.
    iīve got the xbe from 08. may (locks up) and a xbe from the 02. may. this one works fine.
    and itīs only if i press ff for some times (3-4x)


  • i canīt build myself, cause of a slow internet connection (isdn). i dl only a ready built set from a site (modhack).
    maybe britneyspairs can say more about it ...
    for me 02.05 build (xbe) works, 08.05 and 15.05 builds (xbe) donīt work


  • cheers for reporting same fault, yes its been there for a week or so. i just dl latest file. its in xbe yes but only to do with paplayer in_mp3.dll nothing to do with mplayer playing mp3s. it seems to lock up on x4 most fo the time for me as well secondtime around but can do else where.

    i will log faults tommorrow and see if i can give more details


  • and we talked about the dll in #xbmc, so which one are you using ?


  • the issue of not being able to do your builds is that you do not kow how they actually compiled the package (did they do cvs updates or got the whole cvs repository and did the compile).

    having said that i have seen that problem although i do not use the ff that often...


  • sorry edited about 10 secs to late. i got another skin dev to test same prob
