It depends on how big the tattoo is that you are getting touched up and where it is located on your body. For some people, it doesn't bother them at all. Good luck! Make sure that the artist has experience with touch ups and has been in business for years. Also, make sure that the artist understands what you want touched up and doesn't try to add more design to your original tattoo.No more painful than the day you got it. I had 2 touch ups and they didn't feel any different. It was little more annoying only because she to go from place to place filling in little spots. My body didn't have time to build the natural pain killers. I had to grin and bear it.I just had my Gemini sign on my neck redone. I had burned it off well partial half and I had to let the scar tissue heel, almost 18 months, When i went to have redone, he corrected the entire sigh and made it larger, yes it hurt but I also have a huge ( well I'm 11o lbs) yig yang on lower back and mole on my face, i will tell u I need to get a mess corrected, tiny 3 stars on my HIp, lower and look like prisoNEr tattoos and outlines only, and the are smeared, it hurt so bad i was about to cry( the dude said mam, put you hands behind the chair, . Make sure you go to a tattoo artist that is at least been in business 5 years and do not go to a but 1 get ne free in Houston , this the place that hurt the heck outta me and the free one i touched up a mole ( real) on face, made it larger.will i think it all the same get it over the old tattoo then getting a new one.It's going to feel just like it did the first time.Not at all just like the first time i get touch ups all the time just to make them look fresh!!it depend on how long your tattoo had healed.....
i had retouched my tattoo after a month, it was so damn hurt because my skin still young (youthful skin)....it was hurt more than i got the new one....
but when i had one of my tattoo covered up....(already 5 years) it felt like i got a new tattoo.....
so it depend on how long your tattoo had healed.....
if you will have your tattoo touch up because they going to look more great... hhmmm the pain is only the "price" that you must take to have an awesome tattoo....right???
