Anyone who already has this area tattooed would be great to hear from you.
i'm talking large tattoo with multiple colours and detail.Okay who ever said it doesn't hurt at all lied. I have a damn good pain tolerance and that totally sucked but.. IT WAS WORTH IT! Just hope its not your first tattoo... I would test the waters before going all out. Ever been pinched in the ribs.....238958792350 times repeatedly over and over on the same spot?
My sister had a tattoo there, only a small one (around 3 inches by 3 inches) and almost passed out. It was her 5th tattoo so she knew what the pain would be like but never expected it to be that bad.
However, every person is different so it's hard to say exactly how you will react to it.Why?Do you have a tattoo elsewhere? How big? Measure it and multiple the size by the size of you next tattoo. Now multiple the pain from tattoo one by the extra size of said new tattoo and theres your answer.
No tattoo? Ok try this at home, take a pin and stab yourself about 1,000,000 times. Thats how much it hurts.
Be brave!ya thts like the worst place to get a tatoopain should be the last thing on your mind.It should hurt slightly more than getting the tattoo on.
P.s It's pretty pricey to get it removed.extremely painful but very worth it! its a great place visually. my buddy just got a large mural in that area, and unless you really cant tolerate pain, its not that bad at all.
he's had 4 hours total work on it so far and he keep going back for moreI just completed a 12 and a half hour side piece yesterday and got it touched up in parts. Was it painful? Yes. Unbearable? No. It is above my bra line down to my hip (about the size you are talking about). The most painful part was at the end of the ribcage and the hip bone. The rest of it you will go numb for, except where they hit the bone. The front of your ribs are much more painful than the backside (may be an out of sight out of mind type deal). I have 11 colors in mine plus black, and it is very detailed. As painful as it is though, it did not deter me from getting the outline started on my other side yesterday. I'll have 2 full side pieces with lots of color when complete, and the pain will be completely worth it. As long as you break that area down into sections you'll be just fine!I've got an orchid branch in that spot, hurt a lot, it was my fifth tattoo and definitely hurt the most. It makes you shake involuntarily and it is really hard to hold still, my boyfriend held me down at some points so I would tremble less. so hopefully you're not getting something with a lot of line detail. Be sure to go to a real good artist that you trust. i don't know, but i told my b/f he should do it because it's sexy ;)Well its not going to tickle. If you have a decent artist, they will plan it out for you to do in smaller bursts, depending on how you are handling it. You are talking about hours of work. Not many will do a large piece like that in one sitting. All decent artists will keep an eye on you to make sure your ok but once you start you have to finish the work. Hope you have saved your pocket money hahahahajust got one going down my side 3 weeks ago... like the other person said, it doesn't tickle!!! the ribs really weren't too bad, the part that got me the worst was the hip bone. i would say that is the most painful spot of all four of my tattoos. mine is only line work though so it only took 2 hours to do the whole thing. i recommend bringing something to squeeze.I recently got my side tattoo finished and it hurt a lot, almost unbearable. I got the tattoo done in 2 sittings, I got 2 and a half hours done one week then 3 and a half hours done a couple of weeks later. Now I can handle pain (I have 3 other tattoos and 24 piercings). I'm just going to say as well, I am planning more tattoos but I can guarantee this - I will NEVER get one done on my ribs again. My suggestion, if you were planning another one get that done first. Or maybe ask the tattooist to start down on your hip and slowly move up that way you gradually get used to the pain. The tattoo itself isn't that bad (otherwise I wouldn't keep going back for more) its just the ribs. if its sensitive to touch the more it hurts. something that is painful for one person might notbe for another. if your worried about the pain then i dont think you should get a tattoo cause it will hurt. by how much depends on how well you handle pain#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
