as a realtor, i'm looking for that perfect all in one device ie. a
telephone that is web enabled that has a palm operating system that
has a big enough screen and workable keypad and is not too bulky.
Sherry LaneYes, the treo seems to be the standard in the industry. I am looking at a
new product from Kyosara, soon to be released. Also noticed a new Nokia
that opens like a little computer. Have to find out when our local
carrier
is going GMS which these phones require.

Thanks. Sherry LaneI did a bit of research on your question, and the best device I found
was the Handspring Treo 300. Technically, it meets all of your needs;
however, I fear that the keyboard and the screen might not really be
satisfactory for you, especially if you want to read the screen in
direct sunlight.

If this device sounds right for you, I'd be happy to post information
about it as an answer. However, if it does not, perhaps another
Researcher will find an even more suitable product. If you like Blacberry, there is a new unit to use on the 1X network
for both data and voice usage. visit the RIM website for more info
and service provider in your country... www.rim.com [model is
BlackBerry 6750 Wireless Handheld]
I would say that Blackberry is more "data" and a mobile would be more
"voice" but I don't know your usage/preferences...
good luck. What you possibly want is a Tri-Band phone with a clear color screen,
the ability to read/write emails, take pictures or video and e-mail
them around, manage appointments and be as little bulky as possible.
Such a phone is the HTC Canary SmartPhone.
It runs Microsoft's SmartPhone operating system which is a bit like
Windows but adapted for use on phones.
It includes IE, MSN Instant Messenger, the ability to send and receive
text and multimedia messages, e-mails with attachments and it plays
MP3s and videos through media player.
It also supports GPRS data connections for always-on fast internet
access.
You can record video and sound or take pictures using the camera
attachment (comes bundled) and there's an expansion SD card slot for
additional memory or external accessories such as fold out keyboards
and GPS devices.
Have a look at InfoSync's website for more info

I have a phone like that myself here in the UK.
It's branded by Orange as the SPV (sound, pictures, video) and I've
been very happy with it.
Have a look at http://www.infosync.no/news/2002/n/2481.html for a
detailed review of the product
and at http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=ORANGESPV for pricing
details.
Hope this helps.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
