Did John Mccain win the Presidental Debate yesterday?? in your opinion?

Posted on Tuesday 16 March 2010

  • I felt, he made OBAMA look stupid, Mccain made him look bad

  • nah obama won. he always does. mccain sucks.

  • No he didn't. In fact after basically being forced into asking about Obama's relationship with Bill Ayers(sp) I think Obama handled that question very well and essential put that issue to rest. In John McCain's defensive he did make few compelling arguments about Barack Obama's stance on certain issues but he didn't do anything so remarkable that it swayed undecided voters or Republicans voting Democrat back to voting for him. Essentially all those that are voting how they are will continue voting the way they will vote. I think people seem to forget that though John McCain is an ex-fighter pilot Vietnam POW and graduate of the Naval Academy in Annapolis MD, Barack Obama is not only a graduate of Harvard Law school in the top of his class I might add but he also was a Harvard professor of Constitutional Law. That's not too shabby of a resume'. So by trade Barack Obama is a lawyer. His job is to debate and prove his point when peoples lives are on the line. Barack Obama obviously out debated Bill and Hilliary Clinton. Bill Clinton (the Rhodes Scholar) we know is so good at debating and selling himself he could sell matches to the Devil. I don't doubt John McCain is a smart experienced politician but when it came to debating with Barack Obama he was out of his league. It was like a police officer debating with an experience trial lawyer. No contest. Which is why come January there will be an inauguration of the first non White President in US history. Again John McCain held his own but he didn't say anything that made that much of an impact to sway voters an evaporate the projected lead Obama has over him.

  • That's a natural response on you're behalf because it's obvious by you're question that you are a Mccain supporter. Sorry, but I didn't watch it because both candidates are by now on their guard against attacks from every directions. Each one and their parties have already dug up all the dirt on each other and there is nothing new to bring out against the other. It's now all soap opera and watching them spar with each other is a waste of time. The only thing I'm waiting for is election day so we can get it all behind us.

  • You must have been looking @ a different debate. McCain looked desperate! As a voter, I don't care what happened when Obama was 8! McCain, in my opinion, was busy trying to attack Obama personally, while Obama wanted to speak about the issues.
When asked about their running mates and their rediness to lead, McCain didn't have much to say about Palin's qualifications. How is her work with Autism make her a qualified person to deal with foreign policy?. Oops!, my bad....She can see Russia from Alaska while pondering....Please!.
He is a desperate man who lost his bid for the Presidency long ago.

  • McCain was factual and honest . OBama just repeated his memorized talking points, however, he is slick.
Overall, I am for McCain. I feel McCain's opponent is just dishonest and twists his positions as his audience changes.

  • No. He didn't know what he was talking about, he was catty, he was incredibly negative towards Obama and he didn't answer the questions in a direct manner.

  • Not even remotely. Obama had ready solutions to definite problems while McCain just did his usual treading water.

I'm still not a fan of Obama, but this election is about choosing the lesser of two evils.

  • I only watched part of it but what I saw Obama definitely showed McCain basing his arguments on things that are known to be false. I also learned they are both left handed freaks!

Realistically I thought both of them are qualified for the job but in the thirty minutes I saw Obama based his arguments off facts more.

  • no

  • McCain doesn't have a clue. He's a Bush wanna-be.

These die-hard republicans are like a religious cult. Blinded by their own stupidity.

I was a conservative republican. But the past 8 years have made me move on.

I'm still conservative and Obama seems to reflect my values.

  • I personally feel that both of them tried to slide around the questions, and both have something to hide. Im more of a McCain fan, but the way both of them acted was a little childish, you might as well have thrown two P/O lions up there and let them have it at eachother. I do feel that McCain could have done better.

  • I'm sorry girl , i saw 6 polls , ALL of them showed Obama won , and actually ..by a landslide , in one of them Obama won 60-30 .
    HERE IT IS
CBS undecideds: Obama 53, McCain 22

    CNN poll : Obama 58, McCain 31

MediaCurves independents: Obama 60, McCain 30

    California debate-watchers: Obama 56, McCain 28.
Among California independents: Obama 55, McCain 29.
